How To create the Perfect Skincare Routine: A Beginners Guide

A Perfect skincare routine is important! Here’s everything you need to know to prepare, wash and care for your skin as it grows.

A Perfect skincare routine is a series of steps taken to maintain the health and appearance of the skin. It usually involves a combination of products and techniques designed to maintain the skin’s natural balance, improve its structure, and prevent premature aging.

A basic skincare routine usually includes a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Cleansers help remove dirt, oil and other impurities from the skin, while toners help restore the skin’s natural pH balance and remove any remaining traces of dirt and oil. Moisturizers help hydrate the skin and prevent dryness, while sunscreens protect the skin from harmful UV rays that can cause skin damage and aging.

Other products to add to your skincare routine include serums, exfoliants, masks, and eye creams. Serums contain concentrated active ingredients that target specific skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles or hyperpigmentation. Exfoliators help remove dead skin cells and improve skin texture, while masks provide deeper hydration and nourishment to the skin. Eye creams are designed to treat the sensitive skin around the eyes and reduce the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines.

When creating a skincare routine, it is important to consider your skin type and any problems you may have, such as acne, sensitivity or aging. It’s also important to choose the right products for your skin type and use them consistently to get the best results. Following a regular skincare routine can improve the overall health and appearance of your skin and make you feel more confident.

Are you taking good care of your skin? Here’s what you need to know…

Creating a perfect nighttime skin care regimen is like hitting three flawless figure skating performances at the Olympics. The same goes for improving your morning skincare routine. It took me years, I mean years, to find the right Perfect skincare routine for my skin. I watched 101 skin care videos, read articles, did everything. My skin is asking for some consistency and it wasn’t until I tried lots of products and routines that I found the perfect treatment.

Everyone’s skin care is like ordering coffee. Every time you try something new, you always come back to proven favorites.

One myth I’ll dispel right now before we go any further is the most frequently asked question I get: Can you mix different skin products? Yes!! Although brands may try to convince you (for the obvious $ factor), you can use different types of skin care products. Can’t do more than 2-3 products from the line and I like it that way!

Benefits of daily Skincare Routine

Self Care – Sticking to a routine is good for our mental and emotional health. Also, each day gives us something to look forward to in order to be productive! The best skin care products will make you look forward to using them and never tire of them.
Anti-aging – One of the amazing benefits of a flexible skin care regimen is its anti-aging effects! Early and all-year protection in our skin care prevents damage and dehydration for free.

Consistency– Skin feels firmer! When we always change clean or moisturizers, the skin does not have time to get the benefits of nutrition. Find your favorite product and stick with it!

12 Skincare Products Every Woman Should Have

Cleanser

Yes, yes. Your favorite cleanser. Morning skin care is nothing without a good facial cleanser. Find the right one for your skin type and keep using it!

When to use:

First thing in the morning or right after your workout if you hit the gym in the morning. For example, if your alarm goes off at 7:00 a.m. and your yoga class is at 8:00 a.m., there’s no reason to wash twice. This eventually cleans the skin.

Toner

I love witch hazel toner. It’s natural, no additives and makes my skin firm and toned! It digs up and absorbs all the dirt and grime your cleaner has missed.

When to use:

Once cleaned! Just put a cotton ball in it and use it the same way as your lotion or oil.

Face oil

You know you have the best skin care regimen when you use facial oils! These kids are unsung heroes in my book. I was scared of them for years because my skin was so oily. After learning that they’re meant to get into our pores and invigorate particles, I love them!

When to use:

Once the serum is done. But while we wait for the toner to harden before applying the serum, do the same here. Let each step be b r e a t h .

Sunscreen

For some reason, this is a step in everyone’s Perfect skincare routine when they are confused. If your daily moisturizer contains SPF, you can skip this step! If not, make sure to rinse after applying your moisturizer. After toning, apply oils and creams from the lightest to the heaviest. So if you’re sticking to the right formula, remember this tidbit!

When to use:

Right after moisturizer!

Under-eye cream

Another nighttime skin care regimen is essential! A liquid eye cream that helps reduce the appearance of irritation and dark circles under the eyes and even helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

When to use:

Follow the night cream with this bad boy before you get your Zzz’s.

Makeup remover

Rule #1 in skincare 101. Don’t go to bed with makeup on. Always. Removing makeup is step 1 in great skin care. And if you’ve ever laced up your shoes, you know you’ve learned the hard way not to skip 1 more step.

When to use:

When you’re done, you’re done! Maybe after work or after dinner.

Exfoliator or facial scrub

Knowing your skin type is key when buying facial cleansers and exfoliants. As the masks are in soap or soap, they “play” in the skin. So if you have sensitive skin, massage will be best. For dry, rough skin, a strong scrub will do the job! The best skin care products will tell you what type of skin they’re made for (dry, oily, etc.), so don’t worry too much about knowing which one is best for you before you hit the store!

When to use:

Brushing and cleansing the face as a weekly maintenance. They are strong enough for everyday use, so they are perfect for a spa day with these guys once or twice a week.

Serum

Blood, not to be confused with moisturizer! Serums are like prescription serums – they’re usually oil or water-based and offer targeted treatment based on your skin’s needs.

When to use:

This step comes after tinting, and make sure you give the pigment time to harden. I like to leave about 2 minutes between massaging and adding the serum. A quick way to pass the time (without spending a lot of time) is to brush your teeth!

Collagen peptide powder

In fact, this may be one of the best and most effective skin care products out there! When we lack collagen protein, our skin becomes dry and prone to fine lines and wrinkles. . Daily collagen supplementation has been shown to help improve skin tone, and we all know that a well-hydrated face makes the difference in whether or not we look older. I use Super Youth Multi-Collagen Peptides because it is flexible, odorless, and comes in a great flavor.

This has been skin care tip #101 and my friends will be forever grateful! Not only did they see incredible facial gains, but they also had less cellulite on their legs, increased joint flexibility, and more! Want to convince others? Here are five proven reasons why you should start using collagen for skin health!

When to use:

Every day! I put collagen powder in my morning coffee, my post-workout smoothie, and even my water. For best results, use two to three times a day.

Lightweight moisturizer

Use this bad boy to make your skin dewy and hydrated. Finding the right product for your skin is key, so don’t be afraid to get samples at the store.

When to use:

After letting the face oil sit and soak in for a few minutes, go ahead and apply your moisturizer!

Night cream

Night cream is the key to the best day and night skin care! Night creams are important because they contain beneficial ingredients that work best when you sleep under the sun’s UV rays.

When to use:

Leave this after the serum at night.

Face mask

First, let me say that if you’re breaking the bank with face masks, stop. I’ve tried every face mask in the sun, from peel-off to wash-off, but my favorite homemade mask is a DIY face mask.

When to use:

Do this once a week or when you’re having a rough day. And it’s okay to sit and pour a glass of wine!
